Delgado Orthodontics

The best of the best! My sisters and I all got our braces here when we were younger and continue to show our support by going back for any and all orthodontic needs. We have known the crew for almost 10 years, and when I came back for a recent appointment they all remembered me. Delgado Orthodontics feels like a family, and I'm so happy to be a part of it.

Above and beyond, These folks will treat you Right! All the staff is so nice. Doctor Delgado is a wonderful Doctor. He cares about his staff and clients.

This office and staff started off amazing at first. My son had braces for about 2 years and everything was great until the end and when we finished paying and time for his braces to come off. Once they were off his teeth were beautiful and perfect. Decided to get him permanent retainers for the mere fact I didn't want him to loose his retainers anymore and didn't want teeth to shift after paying around or close 5k. The top permanent retainers they installed did absolutely nothing and as soon as I noticed his top teeth shifting I contacted them immediately. They blamed us and said he will need braces again. I know was a lie because it wasn't that bad something a retainer couldn't have fixed at the time. Now a couple years later the permanent retainers they installed is still in tact and top teeth completely shifted and they blamed us. SMH. And now it's poking his gums and want to charge $100 to remove a retainer that did nothing. And don't mention if you bring up a concern or problem the attitude that will come with an excuse.

This is a stellar doctor, staff and facility. Kind and have done wonderful work with my son.

After several visits at other orthodontists for consults, we have finally found the one, Delgado Ortho! The staffs are so friendly and very helpful. They made sure we understood everything we needed to know about braces!

This will be long but I want to be thorough when giving reviews that aren't stellar so as not sound bitter but honest.

When we started at Delgado we heard amazing things: they have events for the kids, they have great appointment availability, they are extremely knowledgeable and experienced, they are reasonable in price, they even give discounts to community servants such as law enforcement and teachers, they are friendly, they are efficient during appointment times, and they are all refreshingly personable.

When we started at Delgado: we experienced all of these things...except for the discount for teachers that my co-worker got but I did not. It was explained to me as being an insurance coverage difference even though we both have the same insurance in the same job at the same school even teaching the same subject at the time. BUT amazing service and inviting, super sweet people in to my daughter's life as a single mom is worth it so we will make due.

Fast forward to when they moved in 2016: it felt like all hell broke loose. My rational mind, and what I doubt they will admit, tells me that their volume of patients has exceeded their limits. My child AND myself have had to take more time off school (again I am a teacher so school = limited work time off) for these appointments than anything we have ever had to take time off for in the past. They could not get us in during after-school hours even 6-8 weeks out. In the meantime, I'm missing work that is now coming out of my paycheck, my child is missing more school, and I'm paying extra for someone to help with the transportation for all of this. When already paying $4,000 for the services, this single mom's budget has limits.

Fast forward to December 2016: it's now been 2 years...the length of time her braces were supposed to be on. I asked at her appointment in October, "Are we still on schedule?" and was told "Absolutely. Everything looked good so there is no reason to think otherwise." I asked at her appointment in December, "Are we still on schedule?" and was told that all looked great. So, I schedule her appointment to get them removed in January 2017 since we were "on schedule" and that schedule was removal in December of 2016...only to be forced to sign a document stating that I am electing to "remove early." "Well, the doctor actually wanted to do minor adjustments so he is not approving removal." TOTAL BS! Then I should have been told that 3 FULL MONTHS AGO when I asked!

Conclusion: The doctor is AMAZING at what he does. The technicians are SO friendly and personable and will answer all questions you have. The front desk staff...well, there is only 1 super sweet blonde lady whom I can say is always understanding and composed; otherwise, the rest have their moments but do their best with the load put on them. I certainly don't want to imagine what they have to deal with since all the issues have started so POWER ON LADIES!!!! The Office Manager or Financial Officer or whatever she is who discusses the payment plans with you, she is extremely sweet in her heart but, God bless her, she seems to have a LOT on her plate and, when she deals with me, seems to deal with a lot of complaints that are the same as my own because her smile at me is a bit forced when I start asking questions about service issues. She's doing the best she can in a practice that has taken on more than it can seem to handle.

We love the whole staff here. My daughter got her braces last year and I really found them to be so friendly and professional. I even went for a consult and got Invisalign myself this year. We drive from Bedford, they always get us in after school and work as long as it's just a short appointment (which is most of the time). Highly recommend.

Dr Delgado is a brilliant orthodontist. We visited with 4 other orthodontists for consults before deciding on Dr Delgado for treatment of our two teenage kids. We made the choice based upon the level of knowledge and transparency of treatment Dr Delgado provided. He was the only orthodontist that provided an assessment report of the treatment required and recommended. All other orthodontists we consulted with just have a price and timeframe, none provided a report of any kind, or even gave options on the braces type. I felt like they may as well been quoting on new tires for my car.

Dr Delgado showed examples of braces options, displayed images for us to look at as well as a comprehensive report specific to each child. I felt that he really provided a thorough assessment of both our kids, his pricing was less than some other orthodontists we visited for consults, and his location is hospital standard clean, waiting rooms are spacious and immaculate and his staff are highly professional. The coffee is also pretty good which is a nice touch when waiting for two kids to get adjustments every 6 weeks :)

Most of all, my kids love Dr Delgado. He's really nice and kind and very reassuring to the kids.

Work is great, but the front desk leaves something to be desired. I've been here three times and all three times I've been treated as a nuisance and a bother.

When I arrive, I'm not greeted- just stared at. Finally, I get asked "name?"

I say my child's name and the response?

"Sit down. We'll call you when we're ready."

Nope. For $5k, I think I've earned a minimal smile.

We have used Delgado Orthodontics for our four children. We have always had the best experience. They have convenient hours, the staff is very patient and Dr Delgado always makes my kids comfortable. We have missed a few appointments and I appreciate the staff being flexible in rescheduling them. My girls' teeth all look amazing! I would highly recommend this place for a great smile!
